Arriving in Vancouver

Thursday 14th June

We are in Vancouver!

This is quite a long day as we left Melbourne at 930am and landed in Vancouver at 12.20pm but travelled about 23 hours. The body clock is a bit messed up – we were served breakfast a couple of hours before landing in LA at what was either about 9.30 at night (Melb) or 5am (Pacific time). Then just prior to departing LAX for Vancouver we passed a bar & I’m feeling like a beer (like it feels late in the evening) but was locally only about 8am and most people were having breakfast. No beer for me!
Interesting tailfin decorations at LAX
The flight from LA to Vancouver was interesting with all the snow covered sleeping volcanoes up the coast. Mt St Helens was a highlight.

We are staying Downtown with Neil’s sister Diane for a couple of days then the three of us will go off touring. We had a walk around the Downtown area this afternoon looking at the local cuisine (That dish you showed us is here Kent!). WE has some very fancy organic hotdogs at a food van – Blueberry & Bison and Sizzling Salmon. Yum! (4pm still feels like breakfast time though!).
Later, dinner out and a walk down at English Bay for the sunset.
